2026 Kids Striper Classic

Dear Kids Striper Classic Families, First and foremost, thank you for registering for the Third Annual Kids Striper Classic! We are excited to welcome more than 170 young anglers and their families to Sandy Hook Bay Marina on Sunday, November 1, 2026. What began three years ago with 70 young anglers has grown into a wonderful community tradition. The enthusiasm surrounding this year's tournament has been incredible, with registration reaching capacity in less than 24 hours. Our mission remains simple: get kids outside, introduce them to fishing, and create memories on the water that will last a lifetime. As we prepare for tournament day, we wanted to share a few important reminders. 1. Download the Reel Time App We will be using the Reel Time app as part of this year's tournament. Please download the app and register or sign in using the same email address you used to register for the Kids Striper Classic. This will help ensure your registration is properly associated with your account and that you are prepared for tournament day. 2. Boating Safety – Our First Priority The safety of our young anglers and their families is our highest priority. All participating families, captains, and boat operators are responsible for following safe boating and fishing practices, applicable U.S. Coast Guard requirements, and all federal and state boating regulations. In particular: All children participating in the tournament must wear properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets while aboard participating vessels. Every vessel must carry the required safety and emergency equipment, including appropriate personal flotation devices, signaling devices, and other equipment required for its size and operation. Captains are responsible for the seaworthiness of their vessels, safe operation, weather awareness, and the safety of everyone aboard. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the event. All participants should exercise good judgment and follow responsible fishing and boating practices. No fish or prize is worth compromising anyone's safety. Please inspect your vessel and safety equipment before tournament day and make sure everyone aboard understands the importance of safe boating. 3. Help Us Keep the Kids Striper Classic Free! One of the things we are most proud of is that the Kids Striper Classic is completely free for every child who participates. We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, including local tackle shops, some of the biggest names in recreational fishing, local businesses, Sandy Hook Bay Marina, and One Willow. Their generosity makes this tournament possible. As the event has grown, so have the expenses associated with providing a memorable experience for the children and their families. In addition to fishing prizes and giveaways, we have programming expenses associated with activities, entertainment, food, and the celebration following the tournament. We are inviting participating families and members of our community who are able and interested to make a voluntary contribution toward these expenses. Whether it's $10, $25, $50, or another amount, every contribution helps us continue building this event while keeping registration free and accessible to all families.
