Level 1 Billfish Total Points
Points will be awarded to the boats entered in this level that accumulates the most billfish total points. Points will be awarded in accordance with tournament rules as follows: Blue Marlin – One point per pound and fraction of a pound for your boats SINGLE heaviest blue marlin weighed. Blue Marlin Release 600 points White Marlin & Spearfish Release 200 points Sailfish Released 200 points Category Pays: 1 Place 100%, 2 Places 60/40%, 3 Places 50/30/20%.

Level 2 Billfish Total Points - Must Enter Level 1
Points will be awarded to the boats entered in this level that accumulates the most billfish total points. Level 3 Billfish Daily
The prize money in this level is split between each day of competition and is awarded to the boats that accumulate the most overall billfish points for the day. The date and time of the release is based on the Boat’s Fishing Day (Day 1 or Day 2) as opposed to the tournament fishing day (Day 1, 2, or 3). A Daily will only be paid if at least 10% of the boats entered in the Carolina Billfish Classic fish. Category pays 1st 70% and 2nd 30%.

Level 4 Billfish Daily - Must Enter Level 3
The prize money in this level is split evenly between each day of competition and is awarded to the boat that accumulates the most overall billfish points for the day. Awarded to the boats entered in this level weighing the single heaviest Blue Marlin, minimum length 105 inches, in accordance with tournament rules. If no qualifying Blue Marlin are weighed, then prize money in this category will be rolled into Level 6 Blue Marlin Release. Category Pays: 1 Place 100%, 2 Places 60/40%, 3 Places 50/30/20%

Level 6 Blue Marlin Release - Must enter Level 5
Points will be awarded to the boats entered in this level that accumulates the most blue marlin release points. Points will be awarded in accordance with tournament rules: Blue Marlin = 600 points. If no qualifying Blue Marlin are released, then entries in Level 5 & Level 6 will be refunded within 7 business days. Category Pays: 1 Place 100%, 2 Places 60/40%, 3 Places 50/30/20%.

Awarded to the Outboard Engine powered boat entered in this level weighing the single heaviest Blue Marlin, minimum length 105 inches, in accordance with tournament rules. This category excludes sailboats, inboard, inboard/outboard, jet, or other means of ineligible power as determined by the tournament rules committee. If no qualifying Blue Marlin are weighed, then prize money in this category will be rolled into Level 10 Outboard Engine Billfish Total Points. Category Pays: 1 Place 100%

Points will be awarded to the Outboard Engine powered boats entered in this level that accumulates the most billfish total points. Points will be awarded in accordance with tournament rules. This category excludes sailboats, inboard/outboard, inboard, or other means of ineligible power as determined by the tournament rules committee. If no qualifying billfish points are accumulated, then prize money in this category will be awarded to the outboard engine boat entered in both level 9 & 10 weighing the single heaviest gamefish: Dolphin, Tuna*, or Wahoo. Category Pays: 1 Place 100%, 2 Places 60/40%, 3 Places 50/30/20%.
